Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you play Robot Survival (the "Game") on Android or visit this website. The Game is developed and published by Traneos ("we", "us"), which is responsible for the information described here.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at support@robotsurvival.com.
Information we collect
Account identifiers
When you first start the Game, it signs you in to an anonymous guest account using Google Firebase Authentication. This creates a random account ID that identifies your save on our servers, together with the security tokens needed to keep you signed in. The Game does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
If you choose Sign in with Google Play in Settings, the Game asks Google Play Games Services for a sign-in credential and links it to your account through Firebase Authentication. The Game requests no extra Google permissions or scopes. Firebase Authentication stores the Play Games player ID that Google provides, and may store your Play Games gamer name and profile picture as Google provides them. We use them only to sign you in to the same account on other devices.
Game progress and settings
To provide cloud saves and to decide rewards on the server, we store your game data with your account ID. This includes:
- Your progress: Player Level and XP, currencies, Supply Keys, equipment, talents, Operation progress, missions, achievements, events, login rewards, shop and Supply Pod state, challenge records and onboarding progress.
- Your in-game settings, such as audio, feedback, control and language preferences.
- Records of runs you start, such as the game mode, Operation, start time, outcome and run statistics, so the server can verify the rewards you earn.
- A history of in-game economy actions (for example claims, draws, merges and purchases with in-game currency) that keeps your save consistent and prevents duplicate rewards.
- Today's count of requests made by your account, used to limit abuse.
The Game also keeps a copy of your save and settings on your device so it can start quickly and recover from interrupted saves.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment. We do not receive your card number, billing address or other payment details.
When you start a purchase, the Game gives Google Play a one-way hashed form of your account ID, so a Google Play order can be matched to your account if you contact support. When the purchase completes, the Game sends the product ID and the purchase token from Google Play to our server. Our server verifies the purchase with Google before granting it. We store a record of the purchase that includes a hashed form of the purchase token, the Google Play order ID, the product, the purchase status, timestamps and your account ID. For the Monthly VIP membership, we also store the subscription state and its end date.
Advertising
The Game offers optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Before ads can be requested, the Game uses Google's User Messaging Platform to show the privacy and consent choices required in your region. If those choices do not allow ads, ad options are shown as unavailable and the rest of the Game works normally.
When ads are shown, Google AdMob may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (which it may use to estimate your general location), device and app information, performance and diagnostic information and how you interact with ads, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Whether ads are personalised depends on your consent choices and device settings. Ads are limited to content rated suitable for general audiences.
When you finish a rewarded ad, Google sends our server a verification message. We store the ad transaction ID, ad unit, ad network, reward, ad timestamp and your account ID so each reward is granted only once, and a count of the ad rewards you claimed each day.
Updates
The Game asks Google Play whether a newer version is available. If one is, the Game asks you to update before you continue playing. This check is handled by Google Play on your device, and we receive no information from it.
Technical and log information
Our servers run on Google Cloud (Cloud Functions for Firebase). They write operational logs that may include your account ID, the type of request and hashed purchase identifiers. They do not log your save contents or security tokens. Google Cloud's infrastructure may also record standard request information, such as IP address, request time and user agent. We do not store your IP address in the game database.
Device permissions
The Game does not request permission to access your location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone. The Android build declares these permissions:
- Internet and network state, to save your progress, verify purchases and load ads.
- Vibration, for haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings.
- Google Play Billing, to make purchases.
- Advertising ID and Android ad services (declared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK), used by Google AdMob as described under Advertising. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Wake lock and foreground service (declared by Google libraries), which those libraries use for short background tasks.
How we use information
- To provide the Game: save and load your progress, restore it on another device when you sign in with Google Play Games, and keep settings in sync.
- To decide and verify rewards: Operation and Challenge results, login rewards, missions, events, rewarded-ad rewards and purchases are decided by our server, never by the device.
- To protect the Game: prevent cheating, duplicate claims, fraud and abuse, including daily request limits.
- To show optional rewarded ads, according to your consent choices.
- To respond to you when you contact support or make a privacy or deletion request.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping records of purchases.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles ourselves.
Where the law requires a legal basis, such as in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on performing our agreement with you (providing the Game, cloud saves and purchases), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and keeping the Game working), your consent (for personalised ads, where required) and legal obligations (for example financial records).
Who we share information with
We share information with the Google services that run the Game, as described below, and otherwise only as described at the end of this section. Firebase and Google Cloud process information on our behalf under Google's data processing terms. Google Play and Google AdMob also process information under their own terms and privacy policy.
| Service | Purpose | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Guest accounts and optional Google Play Games sign-in | Account ID, sign-in tokens, Play Games player ID |
| Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions for Firebase | Storing cloud saves and running the game server | Game data, run, ad and purchase records, server logs |
| Google Play Games Services | Optional sign-in to keep progress across devices | Play Games player ID and profile |
| Google Play Billing and the Google Play Developer API | Processing and verifying purchases and subscriptions | Purchase tokens, order IDs, hashed account ID |
| Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform | Optional rewarded ads and consent management | Advertising ID, device and app information, diagnostics, IP address and general location estimated from it, consent choices |
| Firebase Hosting | Serving this website | Standard request information such as IP address |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our players or ourselves, or as part of a sale or transfer of the Game, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Where information is processed
Our game server runs in Google Cloud's us-central1 region and the game database is stored in a United States multi-region. If you play from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Google's services may also process information in other countries where Google operates. For players in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these transfers are covered by Google's data processing terms, which include the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long it is kept |
|---|---|
| Account, cloud save and settings | Until you delete your account. It is not deleted automatically when you stop playing. |
| Run records | 90 days after the run started |
| History of in-game economy actions | 90 days after each action |
| Rewarded-ad reward records | 30 days after the ad was verified or claimed |
| Daily ad reward counts | 7 days after the day's last claim |
| Daily request counts | Replaced each day |
| Server logs | 30 days |
| Purchase and subscription records | For as long as the Game operates, so a purchase can never be granted twice and refunds can be traced. When you delete your account, they are no longer linked to it. |
| Account deletion record (account ID and dates only) | 30 days after the deletion is complete |
Automatic deletion can lag the times above by up to a day.
Testing phase: Robot Survival is in its testing phase. At the first public release, all accounts, game data and purchase records created during testing will be deleted and progress will be reset.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and its data at any time:
- In the Game: open Settings, choose the Account tab and tap Delete account. Deletion starts immediately.
- From this website: if you can no longer open the Game, follow the steps on Delete your account to send us a request.
Deleting your account removes your account, cloud save and the server records linked to it. Purchase records are kept, unlinked from your account, as described above. Uninstalling the Game does not delete your account.
Security
The Game never reads or writes the database directly: all save traffic goes through our server, which verifies your sign-in token on every request. Information is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Purchase tokens are stored only in hashed form. Access to the servers and database is limited to the people who run the Game. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
- Ad privacy: where your region requires it, Settings shows an Ad Privacy option to review or change your consent choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings.
- Google Play Games sign-in is optional. You can keep playing on a guest account.
- Haptic feedback can be turned off in Settings.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can delete your account in the Game, or ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it by contacting support@robotsurvival.com.
Depending on where you live, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, India or some US states, you may have additional rights, such as the right to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to have a grievance addressed, or to complain to your local data protection authority. We will respond to requests within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To verify a request, we may ask for details that help us find your account. We will never ask for your password or payment card details.
Children
Robot Survival is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@robotsurvival.com and we will delete it.
This website
This website is a static site hosted on Firebase Hosting. It does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it has no forms. Google, as the hosting provider, processes standard request information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. If you email us from a link on this site, we receive the information you include in your email and use it only to answer you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game or the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will give notice in the Game of significant changes where required.
